The Virginia State Fair Gold Ribbon winner and the VA Governor's Cup Silver Medal winner 2006 vintage is barrel fermented Chardonnay aged for over nine months in the finest French Oak puncheons.   Our 2006 Double Silver medal Merlot was aged 14 months in Hungarian Oak puncheons revealing a soft complex wine.  For 2007 we produced and bottled an award winning Sunset Rose' in a semi dry style which reveals insistent fruity aromas. 

The Lodi International Wine Awards recognizes and celebrates the fact each of us has unique physiological and sensory differences which profoundly affect our wine and food preferences.

The Lodi International Wine Awards is a new, unique and rather revolutionary concept in wine judging and evaluation. It is a collaboration between wine experts and sensory scientists and employs a new method of wine assessment that will make it easy for wine consumers to discover the wines they truly prefer as discussed recently in the Washington Post.  Our wines scored awards in the category of tasters who tend to have an aversion to bitterness and favor delicacy over intensity. They often prefer some degree of sweetness in their wines.

We have a variety of other Vinifera grapes planted which we hope to add to the 2008 vintage.

How to find us:  From Route 13 turn west at the light in the town of Nassawadox onto Rogers Drive.  Turn left onto Bayside Road at the first stop sign.  In the town of Franktown turn right on Wellington Neck Rd.  After a 1/4 mile turn left onto the continuation of Wellington Neck Road.  A 1/4 mile up the road turn right onto Holly Bluff Drive.  Winery will be visible on the left!
