Holly Grove Winery

Holly Grove Winery is a state of the art facility blending the latest in technology with classic wine-making techniques to ensure the gentle handling of fruit, temperature controlled wine processing and storage, and fully automated bottling of the finished wine. We have continued the use of natural cork, tin capsules and have begun the use of the Saint Gobain Eco Series bottles (to reduce our carbon footprint.)  Our computer controlled press "Lucy" ensures that only the freshest juice gets into our wine.  Our reds are destemmed using the latest in technology EUROSELECT Destemmer which reduces the chance of any harsh tannins getting into the wine. Holly Grove is one of the most state of the art Virginia Wineries.

Our Wine

Our wine is handcrafted to fully express the nuances of the varietal grapes enhanced by techniques such as barrel fermentation, sur-lie aging, cold fermentation, puncheon barrel aging, and malo lactic conversion.  Start a tasting with our crisp Burgundian style Chardonnay, our ultra smooth Merlot,  progress to our well balanced semi-dry Rose', and finish with our delicious highly aromatic and flavorful High Tide Traminette!  Tours and tasting are available daily throughout the year with a few exceptions....call or email for times!
